When thinking about the many ailments that might befall any random person, those that put your appearance in jeopardy are the worst. If we limit the problems to men, the truth is everyone fears getting fat and losing hair, the two main symptoms of becoming old and out of shape. And while everyone, regardless of genetics, can do at least something to prevent weight gain, hair loss is genetic and you cannot do anything to stop it from happening.
Furthermore, hair loss is conditioned by secretion of testosterone and the way this hormone functions and to even try and prevent its natural course of action would put your body in serious jeopardy. That is why, to this day, scientists haven’t come up with the solution to prevent hair loss.

However, there are numerous ways and products that will allegedly help you stop further hair loss or help you re-grow your hair. If you are interested in finding out more about them, read on, as we will explain some basics on hair loss treatment.

The first thing we should talk about are the so-called natural products and supplements that will allegedly prevent hair loss or help you re-grow your hair. We know everyone understands that these products are everywhere, advertised aggressively to whoever has opened any internet page. Even if you don’t have any problems with hair loss, the advertisements offer you to buy anything from a huge variety of products and prevent your hair from falling off. There are tablets, herbal tinctures, shampoos, gels, you name it; some advertisements even offer various kinds of tea that will help re-grow your hair, strengthen it, make it smoother and healthier.

Well, now it’s time for us to disappoint you and tell you none of these products work – it’s all a scam. Furthermore, many of them can be considered dangerous. Dangerous? Gels? How, you might ask? The real truth is – simply because they haven’t been properly tested. Not only is there absolutely no proof that any of these products really work, but it’s likely they could be dangerous for you because they were probably never tested properly by scientists and qualified doctors. Believe it or not, the only condition this products need to fulfill in order to be launched on the market is that they are not toxic for humans. This doesn’t exclude potential side effects, though, and with no proof that these products are effective, you should never take the risk and buy them.

Then there is surgery. It surely works to a degree, but could leave your scalp damaged and certainly costs a lot of money. We are talking about hair transplantation, and this is an arduous endeavor for surgeons; also truly overwhelming for your head, skin, etc.

Finally, there are also legal, prescription pharmaceutical drugs, like Propecia, that help with stopping existing hair loss and also help you re-grow some of your hair. They are probably the safest and simplest solution, so you should discuss this with your doctor.
